E - Manufacturing Industry & HTSM
Description

The manufacturing and high-tech systems and materials (HTSM) sector in Latin America is developing rapidly, supported by various EU free trade agreements with the region, both existing and newly agreed. At the same time, pressure on global supply chains is driving a shift towards more regional production models.

Given their strategic position relative to the United States, countries in the region already host significant manufacturing activity. This creates new opportunities for Dutch companies across the value chain, from Tier 1 to Tier 4 suppliers, offering both new export markets and potential local production options.

This breakout session will explore recent developments in the region and the opportunities for technology exports and, where relevant, local production. Two companies will share their experiences in the region and explain their choices regarding local manufacturing. Invest International and Atradius Dutch State Business will discuss the financing, export and investment solutions they offer Dutch companies. The embassies of Mexico, Costa Rica and Panama will present their perspectives on sector developments and investment opportunities in their countries.
